The Turkmen cargo ship 'Magtymguly' has suffered damage in the Astrakhan region, regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
It was sailing on the River Bakhtemir when at about 1:05 it collided with an underwater obstacle.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that the crew started pumping of water from the steering room, RIA Novosti reported.
