The Sherepli gas field in the Mary province in southeastern Turkmenistan has been obtained an industrial flow of natural gas, the Nebit-Gaz newspaper reports.
"According to experts, the daily well production rate is 695,000 cubic meters of natural gas. Such a primary production volume gives reason to believe that this field is quite promising," the report said.
The gas inflow was obtained from development and appraisal well №01 from a depth of 2.3 thousand meters. The drilling of development and appraisal well №02 has now begun at the Sherepli gas field.
It is emphasized that drilling is also underway in the region at two more new gas fields, Kelleli and Yylan.
