In Ashgabat, within the framework of the working visit of the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to Turkmenistan, a document was signed, according to which Italy will open the Embassy of Turkmenistan. The President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the document from the Turkmen side.
The oil and gas industry, energy sector, construction, textile and chemical industries are considered to be promising vectors of further mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy, Trend reports.
Ashgabat actively invites foreign companies, including from Europe, to develop hydrocarbons in the Turkmen part of the Caspian Sea, where there are 11 billion tons of oil and 5.5 trillion cubic meters of gas of projected resources.
