Brexit has been one of the most spectacular mistakes in the history of the EU, former European council president Donald Tusk has said.
According to Tusk, Brexit was "the most painful and saddest experience" of his five years in office.
He said that it would still be better for the EU and the UK if Brexit did not happen, the Guardian reported.
Tusk added that he predicted the leave victory "two or three months before the referendum."
