Olympic champion, Russian figure skater Alina Zagitova could miss the World Championships in Japanese Saitama less than a week before the start, the coach of the athlete, Eteri Tutberidze said.
"We came to Japan being ready to perform. It was very difficult to work, it was morally difficult. On Saturday, we wanted to withdraw from the competition, but we did not leave, all together, including Alina, decided that we would participate and fight,” TASS quotes Tutberidze as saying.
Recall that yesterday Alina Zagitova overcame rivals in the women's single skating.
