Two Georgian districts elect deputies of parliament

Today two districts of Georgia elect constituency members of parliament. Mid-term elections had to be held after the death of a member of the faction 'United National Movement', Nauli Janashia, as well as the appointment of a member of the faction 'Republicans - Georgian Dream', Tinatin Khidasheli, as the head of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia. They were constituency MPs from the Sagarejo and Martvili districts.

The elections are not being attended by the leading opposition parties, they will become a kind of "test of credibility" for the ruling coalition 'Georgian Dream'. It will oppose the forces of the 'Alliance of Patriots' party, which supports normalizing relations with Russia and strengthening them, as well as several independent candidates, Sputnik Georgia writes.
