On June 6 and 8, the Russian aviation carried out the airstrikes at the facilities of the ISIL terrorist group banned in Russia, during which two field commanders and 180 militants, who were planning to break into the city of Deir ez Zor, were killed, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
In early June, a UAV discovered the ISIL units that were preparing to break through the defensive lines of the government army units blocked in the city of Deir ez Zor.
"As a result of pre-emptive airstrikes, carried out by the Russian military command center at the objects of the ISIS militants on June 6 and 8 of this year, the field commanders, Abu Umar al-Belzhiki and Abu Yasin al-Masri, were killed,” the TASS reports.
