Turkish security forces killed two prominent PKK terrorists in the eastern Mardin province, its governorate said.
Salih Kaplan, known as Soro, who had a 1.5 million lira ($410,000) price on his head, and Hacire Tanhan, coded Zinnarin, were killed on Wednesday, during clashes.
The statement said that both terrorists were killed in the Doganli neighborhood of Mardin, and also noted that they were carrying long-barreled weapons, a myriad of explosive materials and a substantial amount of organizational documents.
Kaplan, sought by the authorities with a bounty of 1.5 million Turkish liras, was listed in the ''blue category'' of most wanted terrorists, the Daily Sabah reported.
