Two hunters blown up by a mine in South Ossetia

Two local hunters have been blown up by a mine in South Ossetia, the press service of the Emergency Situations Ministry of the republic reports.

"According to preliminary information, the hunters stepped on an antipersonnel mine in a forest near the village of Zar. At the moment they are in a hospital of the republic," Interfax informs.

"The condition of one of the hunters is critical. His leg was seriously injured. Operational groups of the Ministry of Interior Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working at the scene now," the representative informs.

It was assumed that the mine had been left over from the time of the military conflict in 2008.
