On Friday November 6th, security officials of Krasnodar Airport caught people trying to smuggle ammunition for firearms into the airport building.
It is reported that in the first instance, a woman accompanying her daughter on a flight to Moscow was detained.
"During an inspection at the entrance to the airport building we found seven rounds for small arms. The woman explained their presence by saying that she was asked to pass them to someone," the Interior Ministry commented.
Later in the afternoon, airport employees detained a man who had a bag wth 30 rounds for a Kalashnikov rifle. It is known that he tried to board a flight to Moscow, gazeta.ru reports.
