Two mayors detained in Turkey on suspicion of separatism

In the cities of Sur and Silvan in the Turkish province of Diyarbakir, five people have been arrested in connection with allegations of ‘autonomy’.

Among them are the heads of the municipalities of these cities, Sayyid Narin and Yuksel Bodakchy.

All of them are suspected of committing a crime under article 302 of the Turkish Penal Code, "Violation of national unity and territorial integrity," Trend reports.
