Two people detained in connection with U.S. embassy shooting in Ankara

Turkish police have detained two suspects who might have a connection to the US Embassy shooting in Ankara, Anadolu agency reported.

The agency added that the police also managed to find a vehicle that was used in the incident.

The assault was carried out by two men, Ahmet Celikten, 39, and Osman Gundas, 38, NTV reported. The police have found a gun that two men used to target the Embassy.

The Turkish authorities have condemned the shooting attack on the embassy, calling it an attempt to "create chaos."

Yesterday, an unidentified person fired shots at the US Embassy in Ankara at 05:30am, reportedly targetting the security guard cabin.
