Robbery suspects opened fire on police officers during the detention operation outside trading center “Karvasla” in Tbilisi, InterPressNews reports.
As InterPressNews was told by the Internal Affairs Ministry, nobody has been injured in the incident.
“Within the frameworks of the ongoing investigation on the fact of robbery, police have detained two persons. The criminals resisted police officer and opened fire on them during the detention operation. Nobody has been injured in the incident. An investigation is in progress under Article 179 of the Criminal Code of Georgia,” the Ministry said.
