The United States imposed sanctions on Iran's Hakiman Shargh Research company, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said.
According to the U.S. State Department, the company is "involved in weapons research and development for Iran".
It was noted that Hakiman Shargh Research "participated or attempted to participate in transactions" allegedly aimed at supporting "Iran's proliferation of weapons of mass destruction".
