The United States launched a new attack on Houthi locations in Yemen, Reuters reported with reference to two officials from the U.S. administration.
The airstrikes hit the northern part of the Yemeni capital, the Al-Dailami airbase was hit.
Earlier, U.S. President Joe Biden's administration vowed to protect shipping in the Red Sea.
"We will make sure that we respond to the Houthis if they continue this outrageous behavior," Biden said during a stop in Pennsylvania on Friday.
