The United States has other sanctions that they are preparing to unfold in the coming weeks, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said.
"We are preparing an additional sanction package that we will roll out in the coming weeks," Miller said.
The diplomat stressed that Washington has been greatly concerned about the state of Georgian democracy.
