U.S. Professor Lyle Goldstein urged Washington urged Washington to "get over" Crimea's reunification with Russia.
His article published in The National Interest magazine tells that Russia and Crimea have a common history, as well as notes losses suffered during the Crimean War and WWII. Goldstein also noted that Crimea has a;ready been integrated into Russia.
In addition, he stressed that European countries have long wearied of the sanctions against Russia.
The professor urged U.S. diplomats to negotiate a "grand bargain" to set European security on a much more positive course.
