The United Arab Emirates is ready to mediate in the expansion of exports of Azerbaijani agricultural products to the Middle East and North Africa, abc.az reports.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan reported that yesterday in Baku Deputy Agriculture Minister Ilham Guliyev discussed the potential of such export with Omar Khan, the head of the International Cooperation Department of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
During the meeting Mr. Khan stressed the interest in development of trade relations between the two countries in the agricultural sector. In addition to consultations with the government, he also visited Azerbaijan processing plants and inspected their production processes.
In turn, Guliyev told about Azerbaijan’s plans to increase few-fold the production of vegetables in order to meet the growing demand from Russia and for export to other markets.
