Azerbaijani Qarabag have defeated Cyprus' Apoel in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round 2:1 in Nicosia yesterday evening.
Qarabag`s goals came from Mahir Madatov (54') Magaye Gueye (69'), Apoel's goal - from Giorgos Merkis (90').
The return leg will be played in Baku on August 13.
