UEFA fines Georgia due to football fans at Euro 2024

According to the German media, the Georgian Football Federation was fined by UEFA in the amount of 30 thousand euros as a result of a small brawl that occurred even before the start of the game at the stadium between fans of the Georgian and Turkish national teams in Dortmund, Germany. 

It was reported that the Turkish Football Federation also got punished for violating public order at the sports arena. The country is obliged to pay 25 thousand euros as a fine.

The match between Georgia and Türkiye took place on June 18. It ended with the victory of the Turkish team with a score of 3:1.
