The United Kingdom upholds its commitment to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, UK foreign secretary Dominic Raab said at the press conference after his meeting with U.S. secretary of state Mike Pompeo.
"We continue to want to make the deal work, and more broadly..de-escalate tensions so far as we can," the Guardian cited Raab as saying.
Commenting on the Hormuz issue, the UK foreign secretary noted that it’s absolutely imperative to uphold freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as it's an issue of trust, and a question of sticking to the rules-based international system. Raab stressed that it’s not an EU issue or a U.S. issue., it is a global issue and about the basic norms of the international community.
