The UN General Assembly First Committee did not support Russia's resolution to investigate the possible use of chemical and biological weapons.
The project was supported by 30 countries, 65 voted against, 77 abstained, RIA Novosti reports.
The resolution's co-sponsors are Belarus, Venezuela, China and Nicaragua
