The United Nations has presented Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev with the South-South award for the political will he has shown in improving the social welfare of the population and the state programs carried out in connection with this, reducing the illiteracy and poverty levels to a minimum, as well as activities undertaken in the direction of successful execution of the Millennium Development Goals.
