UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said that he arrived in Ukraine, where he is scheduled to hold meetings with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba and UN employees on Thursday.
"I have arrived in Ukraine after visiting Moscow," Guterres wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. "We will continue our work to expand humanitarian support and secure the evacuation of civilians from conflict zones."
On Tuesday, Guterres held meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow. Then he headed to Ukraine via Poland. The Secretary General’s work program in Ukraine is scheduled for Thursday.
