UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres welcomed the intention of the US and North Korean leaders, Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un, to hold a meeting in the near future, the official spokesman for the Secretary General Stefan Dujarric, reported.
Dujarric stressed that Guterres is encouraged by the announcement of an agreement between the United States and the DPRK and supports all the efforts aimed at a peaceful settlement of the situation on the Korean peninsula, RIA Novosti reports.
