UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has commended Iran for implementing its nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, reached last year with world powers, TVC news reported.
The secretary-general also called upon Iran to avoid such ballistic missile launches which “have the potential to increase tensions in the region.”
While briefing the council, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman said the JCPOA would assure the international community of the exclusively peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.
