The UN supports all Russian efforts to resolve the conflict in Syria, the spokesman of the UN Secretary General Stefan Dyuzharrik stated.
"Discussions that took place in Moscow in the past have been very helpful in advancing the peace process. We have always supported Russia's efforts," TASS quoted him as saying.
The diplomat did not comment on reports that appeared in a number of media outlets about an invitation to representatives of the main rebel groups – the National Coalition of opposition and the revolutionary forces – to go to Moscow for consultations next week.
