UN to hold a special summit on migration

In late September, the UN will hold a special summit on migration, the Secretary General of the organization Ban Ki-moon reported today.

"The current crisis is expanding like a tsunami. The first thing that should be done in this case by the European and Asian leaders, wherever and whenever there was a similar crisis: the authorities should ensure internally displaced people's dignity and security," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

The UN Secretary General also noted that a lot of things should be done, so he is going to convene a special summit on the migration crisis on September 30th.
