UN wants to expand grain deal for a year

UN Secretary-General António Guterres and other UN officials are making efforts to extend the food deal for a year, Reuters reports, citing UN Secretary-General spokesman Stephane Dujarric.

The deal expires by December, while the necessary agreements have not been reached, Dujarric said. According to him, UN representatives are currently working on simplifying the export of Russian grain and fertilizers.
