The Security Council Committee which monitored compliance with the UN sanctions against Iran will automatically stop its work after the resolution on the Iranian nuclear program enters into force, a high-ranking source in the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
"When the resolution enters into force, 90 days after its adoption the Committee will stop its work automatically. (Right now, the committee is working) by inertia," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
"After that, all the questions that relate to issues of implementation of the resolution – the lifting of sanctions, decisions of questions on the supply of weapons – will be addressed by the Security Council on the recommendation of a joint commission, which includes the 'Six' and Iran," the source noted.
