The US military lost 47 drones, 21 aircraft, and 13 helicopters during the conflict with Iran, according to a US Congress report, meaning 54 aircraft were destroyed outright and 27 need repairs.
Congress cautions the figures are estimates, as secrecy protocols remain in place and operations continue.
Replacing the lost equipment will cost over $2 billion, while total operation costs exceed $33 billion — though some estimates put the budgetary impact at nearly $100 billion.
