US State Department spokesman Mark Toner has said that the US doesn’t insist on the immediate resignation of Syrian President Bashar Assad, but underlined at the same time that he cannot be a part of the transitional government which should carry out the process of a political settlement.
Mark Toner didn’t inform when this ‘political transition’ could start or how long it could last, RIA Novosti reports.
