The US Embassy in Berlin has called on Germany and the EU to impose a moratorium on the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, acting ambassador to Germany, Robin Quinville, told German daily Handelsblatt.
She explained that such a move would serve as a clear signal that Europe is no longer going to tolerate Moscow's "persistent malicious behavior.”
