The interest rate on the federal credit funds (federal funds rate), in the target range from zero to 0.25% per annum in the US, remains at the same level. The corresponding decision was taken by the Federal Reserve System (FRS) based on the results of the meeting on October 27-28. This is stated in a communique on the results of October's meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).
However, at the same time, the Federal Reserve reported about a likely rate increase "at the next meeting", which will be held in December 2015. The final decision will be made on the basis of macroeconomic indicators of employment and inflation, as well as expectations of them, Interfax reports.
