The deputy adviser to the US president's national security, Ben Rhodes, has said that the White House wants Russia to play a significant role in resolving the Syrian conflict.
"We want Russia to play a significant role in resolving this conflict, as it can influence the Assad regime. Moreover, it is good that they want to contribute to the campaign against Islamic State,'' RIA Novosti cites Ben Rhodes.
