US officials have urged Turkey to stop the bombings of positions of Kurds and Syrians in Aleppo area, the France-Presse agency reports.
"We are concerned about the situation to the north of Aleppo, and are working to reduce tensions on all sides," the agency cites a statement of US State Department spokesman John Kirby.
"We have urged Syrian Kurds and other forces associated with the YPG (People's Protection Units) not to use this complex situation to capture new territories," Kirby said.
"We also saw reports about artillery fire from the Turkish side of the border and urge Turkey to halt such attacks," TASS quoted him as saying.
