Armenian banks have promised the US to support anti-Russian sanctions, US Ambassador to Yerevan Lynn Tracy told the Armenian Hraparak newspaper.
It is noted that about a month ago, the diplomat met with the heads of Armenian banks, during which she demanded not to try to circumvent Western sanctions and refrain from helping Russia.
"The United States appreciates Armenia's commitment to international sanctions and maintains regular contacts with representatives of the Armenian banking sector on this issue," the ambassador said.
