Russia must take responsibility for the alleged poisoning of Sergei Skripal in the UK if it wants to improve relations with the United States, US State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said during a press briefing.
"If Russia wants to improve relations it needs to first acknowledge its responsibility for this attack and cease its recklessly aggressive behavior," she told reporters.
Speaking about whether the UK provided the United States with any evidence of Russia's involvement in this attack, Nauert said that she personally had not seen it. "I don’t have access to that kind of information. But I can tell you these were people operating under diplomatic cover," the spokeswoman added.
