US imposes sanctions against UK citizens and companies due to ties with Mahan Air

Washington has imposed new sanctions against two Britons and six UK companies due to the sanctions regime against Iran, the US Treasury informs.

Jeffrey Ashfield and John Meadows were added to the ‘‘blacklist’’. In addition, it includes companies registered in the UK: AIRCRAFT, AVIONICS, PARTS & SUPPORT LTD and AVIATION CAPITAL SOLUTIONS LTD, concerns GRANDEUR GENERAL TRADING FZE and HSI TRADING FZE from the UAE, as well as Iranian SHAHID MOVAHED INDUSTRIES and SHAHID NURI INDUSTRIES.

The majority of these companies are under sanctions because of ties with the Iranian company Mahan Air, RIA Novosti reports.
