The US government has imposed sanctions on three leaders of the militant group Hezbollah and a businessman in Lebanon.
These measures were taken against them due to "its terrorist activities worldwide" as well as its "ongoing support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's military campaign," TASS cited the US Treasury Department as saying.
"Hezbollah began providing military support to the Assad government when the Syrian conflict began in 2011," the US Treasury Department said.
