The US authorities will review all US-Georgian cooperation programs, Director for Europe at the National Security Council Michael Carpenter said.

"We hope to see a change in strategic direction from the Georgian government, but for now we have put all programs with Georgia under review",

Michael Carpenter said.

There is an opinion in the White House that Tbilisi has been following "the wrong course from the point of view of the prospects for Euro-Atlantic integration" in recent months.

Let us remind you that Vestnik Kavkaza previously wrote: Speaking on July 4 at a reception at the US Embassy on the occasion of US Independence Day in Tbilisi, the Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, said that US-Georgian relations should be reset, noting that this was Tbilisi's desire. The Prime Minister also emphasized that Georgia was waiting for the US response in this direction.
