The US authorities have urged their citizens to avoid travel to Turkey due to the increased security threat.
"The US Department of State warns US citizens to avoid travel to Turkey. Given the recent terrorist attacks and increased threats from international and indigenous groups, US citizens should exercise caution when traveling throughout the country," the agency said.
In addition, US citizens were advised not to go to the south-east of the country, to avoid travel to southeastern Turkey, stay away from large crowds and exercise caution when visiting public access areas, Gazeta.ru reports.
