At a conference in Dubai the US President Barack Obama promised to continue good relations with the Middle East countries.
Obama said in a video address shown at the summit that the Middle East states that are committed to justice and respect for human rights will continue to be friends with the US. "As we've seen in the tumult across the Middle East and North Africa, when governments do not lift up their citizens, it's a recipe for instability and strife," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
The three-day summit will be attended by more than three thousand representatives of 150 governments and international organizations.
