The authorities of the United States and Egypt are renewing strategic dialogue between the two countries, US Secretary of State John Kerry said today during a visit to the Egyptian capital.
"We are renewing strategic dialogue with Egypt from the point at which it was previously suspended," the Secretary of State said at a joint press conference with the Foreign Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry, Tass reports.
Kerry added that besides cooperation in the political sphere, the United States and Egypt are going to develop relations in the economic and military spheres. According to him, "American companies are willing to expand investment in the economy of Egypt." In addition, the Secretary of State said, "Washington will continue to prepare the Egyptian army and its equipment at the highest level."
