United States will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal if Germany, France and the United Kingdom do not meet its demands, US President Donald Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during their White House meeting .
The president told Netanyahu that the three nations have only proposed "cosmetic changes" that don’t go far enough, the Axios news outlet reported.
Trump is demanding "significant changes" to the Iran deal, not just additional agreements between the US and the European nations, and said he would pull out of the deal if those changes aren't made, Israeli officials told Axios.
Trump set May 12 as the deadline for reaching an agreement on how to change the Iran deal with the three European countries. If no consensus is reached by that date, Trump is expected to withdraw the US from the deal.
