The Russian Foreign Ministry announced tonight that it received a diplomatic note from the US State Department on the suspension of the US participation in the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles. The same document reports on the launch of the procedure of Washington’s withdrawal from the Treaty.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that, according to the wording of the State Department’s notes, Washington “no longer consider themselves bound by obligations,” namely, allow themselves to start developing, producing and deploying medium and short-range missiles.
