Ukraine is thinking about creating a 'New Silk Road'

The head of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili, has declared that he is going to intercept cargo travelling to Europe from China through Russia.

According to him, the so-called 'Silk Road' should pass through the sea port of Ilyichevsk.

"Now there is a plan – 'The New Silk Road'. In reality, the logistics take 30 days through Russia, through Ilyichevsk it takes 9 days maximum. Everything has already been built. Large flows should be brought. And there is an opportunity to bring it, it exists. We are already working on it," Gazeta.ru quoted the governor as saying.
