President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated today in Lviv that Russia has closed its market to 50% of Ukrainian exports, but that Kiev hopes to master the EU market in a few years.

However, he drew attention to the fact that Kiev will find alternative markets thanks to an association agreement with Ukraine. "I am convinced that thanks to the association agreement and free trade zone with the European Union approved signed by me and ratified by Verkhovna Rada, in a few years we will master an alternative market for Ukrainian goods, if we will prevent further escalation of the conflict in Donbass," RIA Novosti quoted Poroshenko as saying.
