A Ukrainian citizen who tried to smuggle 9.5 kg of silverware from Crimea to Ukraine has been arrested at the Armyansk border crossing point, the press service of the Border Guard Service of the Russian Federation in the Republic reports.
More than one hundred undeclared silver crosses and pendants were found in the boot of his car.
He explained his action by the fact that members the Right Sector and representatives of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis who organized the blockade of Crimea inspected all persons without exception who crossed the border and "illegally confiscate any precious things,’’ Gazeta.ru reports.
