The border guards in Crimea shifted to the enhanced access control due to the twofold increase in passenger and traffic flows from Ukraine, the Crimean border guards of the Russian FSB report.
According to the reports, the increase of passenger and traffic flows from Ukraine is due to the Easter and May holidays. “Over the past 24 hours, about 9,000 people and almost 1,500 cars crossed the state border to enter the Russian Federation. The largest flow was recorded at the Dzhankoy checkpoint,” RIA Novosti reports.
